About

Me: I’m a brand and media professional, a digital enthusiast, and I’ve been at it for almost 8 years now. Yes, I’ve been trained in engineering and management. No, I haven’t written a book yet. I have worked with some of the biggest media brands in the country. My other sins include science fiction, Formula 1, robotics, Hindu mythology, Calvin & Hobbes, an assortment of TV shows and movies from Star Wars to Rajnikant, and chocolate. For what we can do together, read on.
The website: I consume and create a lot of content online. Some of this content is related to the work I do, and some of them are personal interests, which, by the way, also gives me perspectives and consumption pattern insights. While every network I am part of has its own community and interactions, I sensed the need for an aggregation of all that’s virtually me. This is the result.

Skills:

Brand: The Times of India, Bangalore Mirror, Mid Day, WorldSpace- these are some of the brands I have worked on. Thanks to these stints, I have skills in brand planning and strategy, communication strategy and implementation, media planning and buying and product management.
Content: My work with media brands and my own blogging experience of almost 7 years has given me an understanding of how content management and distribution works in print and online media. I can create, source, manage and help in distributing content.
Digital: All the brands I have worked with have had a digital component – either in the form of  advertising/marketing or content delivery. This has given me domain knowledge of various tools and best practices in online marketing, including social media.
In the near future, I see all brands recognizing themselves as content custodians, who will create, distribute and manage their own branded content as well as harness user generated content across various media platforms. The intersection of brand, content and digital media is where my offering lies.

Location: Bangalore, really. Virtually, you can reach me at manu(dot)prasad @ gmail (dot) com or @manuscrypts on twitter, or follow any of the specific network links from the homepage.
